This is a GORGEOUS Italian leather backpack that I've owned for just over a year. I've gotten so many compliments. It has natural wear and tanning that you would find on 100% leather. The Small Postal Backpack No. 1 is the more petite but proportionally identical version of the Postal Backpack No. 1.
We make the Small Postal No. 1 using 2.2mm water-resistant vegetable-tanned Italian leather. It took years to find the perfect hides in terms of density, strength, and softness. Now we import the leather ourselves and enjoy the assurance that the backpacks will last and mature for generations to come. Snow, rain, and sun will deepen the color of the bag. Frequent use will soften the hide over time.
The closure is solid brass and comes from a small foundry in England where the hardware is hand-tooled and manufactured in small quantities.
The bag is equipped with an interior divider (fits an 11" Macbook), a large zippered pocket (10" x 12"), and a convenient brass key-hook. The bag is adjustable in size with the brass slide on the front. This way a 13" laptop will fit into the main compartment. A small zippered pocket on the back panel allows security and easy access to your wallet or phone (fits an iPhone 6+). * This item comes from a home with a pet
