This Buy it Now auction is for a U.S. Military backpack. There is a M-1941 Marine Corps Combat Backpack Top part that has 1952-1953 dates. The Combat Backpack Top part is missing the separate side tent loops. The top tent loop is still on the backpack. There is a bayonet flap, and a shovel flap. The shovel handle strap is missing from the Combat Backpack Top part. The Combat Backpack top part has some soldier numbers, and "WHITE GHOST" written on the outside. The "WHITE GHOST" is probably a soldier's War-Name. Soldiers would typically give each other cool nick-names, which was a practice that at least goes back to WW2. There is also a Cargo Attachment for the M-1941 Marine Corps Pack System. The Cargo Attachment has a "DSA" stock number with a "-67-C" 1967 contract date. Some M-1956 Alice Clips were added to the Cargo Attachment, so it could be better attached to a belt. The cargo attachment backpack part is attached to a 1960s era Pistol Belt, that has faded markings. There are two M-1964 Plastic Canteens, in M-1956 Canteen Covers. There are no Canteen Cups, I do not have any cups for the canteens. Both Canteens are dated 1976. Both the M-1956 Canteen Covers have faded markings, and are Early 1960s vintage . One Canteen Cover has damaged to the snaps, where they are ripped. There is a M-1945 Folding Shovel that is dated 1952, in a Canvas Shovel Cover that is dated "-67-" 1967. There is a M-1972 Ammo Pouch that has had all the printed markings faded away. There is an empty M-1956 Compass/First Aid Pouch, that has a "DSA" stock number without a date in the stock number, which is a circa 1960 to 1965 era "DSA" stock number. There is a Torch Light Flashlight, that has the older "TL" stock number. The Torch Light Flashlights changed from having a "TL" number to an "MX" number during the Vietnam War era. This flashlight with the older "TL" number is also "Tactical Black" color. The oldest Tactical Black color equipment I have seen was from the year 1970. Tactical Black equipment is meant for Black Opps missions, and is also used by the "Men in Black", as they hunt down the U.F.O.s. I do not have batteries to test the flashlight, and do not know if it works or not. Expect the flashlight to be broken and non-functional. A bulb is missing, there might be acid damage, and batteries are not included. The front screw on part of the flashlight is missing. There is a M-1910 Mess Kit that has a "DSA" stock number with a "-67-C" 1967 contract date. I do not have any fork, knife or spoon for the mess kit. These items are old, and in Used Condition with wear damage from use. There is sun fading, dirt stains, scratches, dents, paint loss, rip hole damage, missing contents, oxidation to the metal parts, missing parts, etc. These items are no longer in the perfect condition that they once were in the day that they were originally manufactured. They are both damaged from having been used, and damaged from being old. Time slowly destroys old things. These
items are way too much stuff to be mailed in a Large size USPS Priority
Mail Flat Rate Box. These items will have to be mailed in a package
bigger , and more expensive than that.
Condition: For
Legal reasons, the items in this listing are stated as "Used

"Poor Terrible Condition". They are better condition than "Dug Relic
Condition" items. Items are no longer like how they were the day they
were first manufactured. Items have been used by someone Decades ago in
another Century. Items will have defects and damage from having been
used. The older something is, the worse the condition will be. Wool
items will have Moth holes. Expect Moth damage to old wool items.
Expect clothing to have dirt stains, frayed cuffs and collars. Expect there to be Mildew and Mold damage stains.
Expect
wrinkles. Expect buttons to be broken or missing. Expect zippers to
be broken and non functional. Expect size tags to be missing or
damaged. Expect leather items to be dried out and cracked. Hats will
be crushed and bent out of shape. Do not expect clothing to fit you, it
is not your size. Expect oxidation and rust on the metal parts.
Expect items to be faded from having been exposed to sun light. Expect
metal items to have dents, scratches, and paint loss. Expect items to
have microscopic fractures when looked at under a microscope. Expect
Electronic items to no longer work or be functional. These items are
old and things
slowly get destroyed by time. Please do not expect something in "New
Condition", or "Good Condition". These items are in "Used Condition",
and are Relics from another Century. The vintage
items I list for sale are not wearable clothing, or usable
items. They are sold as old collectibles only. If you are expecting
something that is old and used to still be in nice shape, do not buy
this item. I am trying to be 100% Honest, and Accurately Describe the
Crappy Condition of the Old Relics I have for sale. If you want
something that is in nice shape, than go to a store and buy something
that is new. These items are old and damaged from use. There are some
diamond shaped lens flair sun spots in the photos. Those were a problem
with the camera I used to take the photos.
