This Buy it Now auction is for some Vietnam War era items. Older 1950s to Early 1960s era items have "DA" Defense Administration stock numbers. There also started to be "DSA" Defense Supply Administration stock numbers in the Early 1960s. The "DSA" Defense Supply Administration stock numbers changed to "DLA" Defense Logistics Administration stock numbers in the year 1978. The main backpack part is a M-1956 "Butt Pack" backpack that has a "DA" Defense Administration stock number with a "-E-60" 1960 equipment date. The M-1956 Backpack has the very rare M-1956 small size Cargo Attachment. The small size M-1956 Cargo Attachment has no markings, and some rip hole damage. The M-1956 Cargo Attachment was a very bad design because it was too small in size as a cargo attachment. The M-1956 "Butt Pack" is mounted onto some 1960s era Strap Assembly Field Pack Adapter, which is a quick release strap so the "Butt Pack" can be more easily removed from the suspenders. There is a M-1956 Suspenders that are dated "9/25/59", September 25th 1959. There is a 1960s era Pistol Belt that has faded markings. The Pistol Belt is for the M-1959 type of rifle, and has snaps all across the belt for attaching ammo pouches. The belt has been cut, and part of an0other belt has been sewn onto it to make it longer. This is a period alteration. There a bunch of M-1961 Ammo Pouches. Some of the Ammo Pouches have faded markings. Most of the Ammo Pouches have "DSA" stock numbers with "-64-E" 1964 equipment dates. One of the Ammo Pouches has a "DSA" stock number with a "-67-C" 1967 contract date. There are two M-1910 Canteens, both are dated 1956. Both Canteens have Canteen Cups, one canteen cup is dated 1956, and the other is dated 1965. Both Canteens have M-1910 Canteen Covers, that are dated 1957. There is a WW2 style First Aid Pouch that is marked, "LENSTIC COMPASS MAGNETIC". It is a Mid-1950s era First Aid Pouch / Compass Pouch. There is another M-1956 Compass / First Aid Pouch that is dated 1960. There is a Military style Compass. There are also three unopened Military issue First Aid Bandages that are 1950s to 1960s. There is a M-1910 Mess Kit that is dated 1964. There is a Mess Kit Fork, Knife and Spoon. There is a M-1943 Folding Shovel, that is dated 1943. The Shovel has a Shovel Cover with a "DA" stock number that has a "-E-62" 1962 equipment date. There is a Bayonet for the M-1959 type of rifle that is marked "US M6", and has a Scabbard marked, "M-M8A1". The Bayonet Scabbard has the leg tie cord. There is a Strap Carrier Sleeping Bag M-1956, that is dated 1960. I only have the sleeping bag carrier strap harness, and do not have any sleeping bag. There is a 1960s era Torch Light Flashlight, that has the older "TL" number on the side. I do not have batteries to test the flashlight, so I do not know if it works or not. Batteries are not included. I also do not know if the light bulb is burnt out or not. Expect the flashlight to be broken and non-functional.
